Major Asset International Relocation - Large Dragline Electrical Re- Design & Automation Project

In 2007 Inete was awarded the Engineers Australia Queensland Division Small Business Ventures/Projects award for its work carried out on DRE41 at Blackwater Mine Central Queensland.  A Marion 8200 dragline that was relocated from West Virginia USA for use in open cut pit coal mining.

Major Asset Procurement - Extra Large Dragline Principal Representative

Inete was engaged directly by the client as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) – Electrical Principal Representation for this procurement project.  Key requirements were to develop scopes of work, safety in design, budgets, complete tender review and recommendations, contract negotiations, engineering peer reviews, equipment inspections and many additional activities for the project.

Major Asset Upgrade - Washplant Reagent Farm System Commissioning

Inete was engaged directly by the client as the Commissioning Manager for the project to work with the Principal and the other contractors involved with the commissioning to ensure the safe and efficient outcome for the installation and operation of the new control systems.

Major Asset Shutdown & Upgrade - Dragline Shutdown Electrical Principal Representative

A Marion 8050 dragline, modified for UDD (Universal Dig Dump) operation, currently in use at Caval Ridge Mine.  In late 2014 the dragline was walked across from the neighbouring Peak Downs Mine.  The dragline was electrically and mechanically overhauled during a sixteen week major shutdown.  The purpose of the major shutdown was to effectively reset the working life of the machine.
